Bio of Herbert Webber, CFI, CFEI, CMI, CVFI, CFII

Mr. Herb Webber has five (5) fire investigation certifications. He is a Certified Fire Investigator, Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator, Certified Marine Investigator, Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator, and a Certified Fire Investigator Instructor. He is the owner of STARR Investigative Services, Inc. Jacksonville, FL.

Mr. Webber served twenty-three years in Law Enforcement, the last eight years as commander of an arson and bomb unit. Following his retirement he was employed by the Special Investigative Units at USF&G Insurance Company and St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company. He also was employed with a Forensic Science Company before opening his own Fire and Explosion Investigating Company.

Mr. Webber has conducted many origin and cause investigations in commercial, residential, marine, vehicles and heavy equipment fires involving subrogation and arsons, throughout the southeast. His company also conducts follow up investigations in arson cases for law firms. He has been a presenter in fire investigations to insurance companies and claims units and currently serves as a Director with the Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention.
